This year’s CTMAI-Boat Cruise took
place on Tuesday, May 9 2006 during the INTA Annual Meeting in Toronto.

About 120 guests had gathered on board the Mariposa Belle to meet people, enjoy the sunshine and, of course, taste Bavarian beer. As always, members of the CTM Advisory Initiative, Munich, had prepared a quiz on recent decisions by the Office for Harmonization (OHIM) on European trademark and design issues.

As can be seen from the pictures, the atmosphere on board was very enjoyable, offering excellent opportunities for meeting people and renewing old friendships.

We are amazed how many of you seem to make our Boat Cruise a fixed date in your crowded INTA schedule. Thanks for coming, and we will do our best for next year`s cruise in Chicago!

PRIZES & AWARDS

The knowledge of European trademark and design issues among our guests had apparently increased since last year: Three participants got every single answer right, while 15 (!) answered 5 out of 6 correctly.

Beate Lalk-Menzel (right), a colleague of last year`s winner Ingo Brückner, of DaimlerChrysler AG, had the duty to draw the winners:

5th place: Beate Schmidt of the German Patent and Trademark Office

-
4th place: Laszlo Berczes (left), with Vladimir Anohin (right) cheering
